The Move Back to England as a Single Mum.

Now everyone is up to speed on how I became a mum in India, let me bring you all forward to 2023 when came back to the U.K.!

I knew my time in India was coming to an end, almost in the same way it started 4 years earlier, that feeling of I need to move. However it wasn't just me anymore and this terrified me. I had barely come to terms with being a mum, now I was about to be a single mum. I had come back to England for a 6 week holiday so I had a rough plan, then I spent a final month in India giving it one last go, my son started school and I was trying to figure out a more sustainable lifestyle. Nothing coming together, I got the hint and booked the flight.

I knew I had to do something, I sold my wedding ring and brought a load of clothes and shipped them back. Packed up mine and my sons things, well the most important few bits and headed to the airport. The hardest bit to this day was leaving the dogs. In the airport my dogs were actually on the welcome screen as part of a tourist advertising campaign, was it another on of those signs. I had to believe it would all be alright. I'll never forget my son's support, I told him we are going on the plane again and you need to sleep, he slept the whole journey. He was so strong for me, they say kids don't understand, they do, they really, really do.

Landing back, my friends picked me up from another one of my bad decisions, just like old times except with a little mini me in tow. We were homeless, except we weren't because when you have good friends you'll always have a place to go.

From the moment I booked that flight, I have been consistently working on my business, and raising my son while finding us a place to live. The clothes I shipped back helped my learn how to build my business, I managed to resell them so that all worked out nicely.

It was time, my clothing company was born. Kismattu is now an an official Limited Company and I spent months planning, researching and designing the K series. I had no prior knowledge of clothes designing, and here we are working on the second line. All at the same time I discovered my Yoga teacher training at Yogamu - Yoga means union - Become a certified yoga teacher — Yogamu LLC , which we will discuss another time.

It's been hard, but it's also been one of the most rewarding years of my life. Don't let anyone tell you, you can't do something. I'm Living proof you can.

Thank you all for following me and my journey, a special thank you everyone who has supported with buying, liking, commenting and sharing my business with the world.

You and your son are such warriors. A testament to a "everything is figureoutable" mindset. You capture the rawness and vulnerability so well that the reader is swept along in a tide of emotion. I very much look forward to reading what happens next. Wishing you both massive amounts of courage, Mike Kent.

Thank you so much, I love it when my words translate and if it inspires just one person then I'm happy.
